Therapeutic Massage Services

Every session is tailored to what you need. I combine multiple techniques—trigger point therapy, deep tissue, Swedish massage, and more—to address your specific concerns. You're not just getting a massage. You're getting a treatment plan that evolves with your body.

You know that spot in your shoulder that always hurts? Or the tension in your lower back that makes everything harder? That's likely a trigger point—a tight band of muscle that refers pain to other areas and keeps your body stuck in dysfunction.

Trigger point therapy uses targeted pressure to release these stubborn knots, restoring proper muscle function and relieving pain at its source. It's not always comfortable in the moment, but the relief that follows? Worth it.

Best For:

  • Chronic muscle pain and tension

  • Referred pain (pain that shows up somewhere other than the source)

  • Limited range of motion

  • Postural dysfunction from desk work

  • Repetitive strain injuries

  • Persistent "knots" that massage hasn't resolved

What to Expect: We'll identify the trigger points causing your pain, apply focused pressure to release them, and often follow up with stretching or movement to retrain the muscle. You might feel sore for a day or two afterward—that's normal and means we're making real change.

Deep tissue isn't just "hard pressure." It's strategic, intentional work on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. This is where chronic tension lives—the kind that builds up over months or years and doesn't respond to lighter touch.

I use slow, deliberate strokes and focused pressure to break up scar tissue, release chronic muscle tension, and improve circulation to areas that have been tight for too long.

Best For:

  • Chronic muscle tension and stiffness

  • Athletic recovery and performance

  • Postural issues

  • Old injuries that still cause discomfort

  • Limited flexibility

  • Anyone who feels like "regular" massage doesn't go deep enough

What to Expect: This work requires communication. I'll check in regularly to make sure the pressure is effective without being overwhelming. You should feel like we're working with your body, not against it. Some tenderness afterward is normal—it means we've reached tissue that needed attention.

Therapeutic Swedish Massage

Relaxation that heals

Don't let the name fool you—this isn't just a spa treatment. Swedish massage uses flowing, rhythmic strokes to improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and calm your nervous system. But in my hands, it's also therapeutic work.

I integrate trigger point therapy and targeted focus areas into a full-body session, so you get the relaxation you crave with the results you need.

Best For:

  • Overall stress and tension

  • Improving circulation

  • Enhancing recovery between more intense sessions

  • First-time massage clients

  • Those who want therapeutic benefits in a gentler format

  • Anyone needing to decompress (mentally and physically)

What to Expect: A full-body experience that addresses your whole system. We'll spend extra time on problem areas, but you'll leave feeling balanced, relaxed, and more like yourself.

Tension headaches and migraines often start in the neck, shoulders, and jaw—not your head. By releasing trigger points in these areas and addressing muscle imbalances, we can significantly reduce headache frequency and intensity.

This specialized work focuses on the suboccipital muscles (base of your skull), SCM (neck), upper trapezius (shoulders), and masseter (jaw)—all common culprits in chronic headaches.

Best For:

  • Tension headaches

  • Migraine prevention

  • TMJ discomfort

  • "Tech neck" and forward head posture

  • Jaw clenching and teeth grinding

  • Neck stiffness that leads to headaches

What to Expect: Focused work on your neck, shoulders, upper back, and jaw. It can be intense when we find the spots that have been causing trouble, but most clients notice immediate relief—and fewer headaches in the weeks that follow.

Sports Massage & Athletic Recovery

For bodies that work hard

Whether you're training for competition or just trying to stay active, sports massage helps you recover faster, move better, and prevent injury. I've been an athlete for over 30 years—I understand what your body goes through.

This isn't about relaxation. It's about keeping your body functioning at its best, addressing imbalances before they become injuries, and helping you bounce back from tough training sessions.

Best For:

  • Active athletes (any sport or level)

  • Pre-event preparation

  • Post-event recovery

  • Injury prevention

  • Improving flexibility and performance

  • Addressing muscle imbalances

  • Anyone who trains regularly

What to Expect: Strategic, focused work on the muscle groups you use most. We'll address tightness, improve range of motion, and work on any areas that feel "off." This is maintenance for your body's engine.

Your First Session

Not sure what to expect? Here's how it works:

Before Your Appointment

You'll fill out a brief intake form about your health history and what's bringing you in. This helps me understand your body's story.

During Your Session

We'll start with a conversation about what's going on—where it hurts, what makes it better or worse, and what you're hoping to achieve. Then we'll get to work. I'll check in throughout to make sure pressure and approach feel right.

After Your Session

You might feel amazing immediately—or you might feel a little sore for a day or two (especially if we did deeper work). Both are normal. Drink plenty of water, move gently, and give your body time to integrate the changes.

Ongoing Care

Some issues resolve in one session. Others need a series of treatments. I'll be honest about what I think will help and let you decide what works for your schedule and budget.

What should I wear? Undress to your comfort level. I work with draping to keep you covered and comfortable.

Will it hurt? Therapeutic work can be intense, but it shouldn't be unbearable. Communication is key—I'll check in, and you should speak up.

How often should I come? Depends on your goals. Acute issues might need weekly sessions initially. Maintenance might be monthly. We'll figure out what makes sense for you.
